Hey guys, I've been building a new kind of bookmarking tool in my spare time. Feel free to try it out, would love any feedback!
(Invite code: "unicorn")
Can I share this and the invite code?
While I commend your efforts to create something (considering most people here just piss and moan instead of doing something). I can't help but ask if we really need yet another visual bookmarking tool.
^ It's a fair point! I'v never found anything that worked well for links. Pinterest/FFFFound is great for images, and Evernote for ideas/notes. Some people love Pocket but the workflow didn't work for me. Delicious was good back in the day but even that I stopped using after a while.
Can tags be associated with bookmarks?
Not long ago I switched completely to Safari / iOS bookmarks so to have everything easily on all my devices. But at work, where I have a Mac, it's another account so I don't have things available from home (not that I would even want those links at work). I have a page on my website that I keep bookmarks for useful design and ux related sites and resources and articles. But I might check this tool out.
Looks like it could be good.
'Introducing Thumbprick" sounds like the title of a bawdy comedy or adolescent soft-porn caper.
Design and Built by the NSA with Love...
So whats the business model? Another monthly subscription? Ads?
Whatever you do don't yuck it up or else I'll be really pissed for being such an early adopter of most things.
how do i enter the invite code?
Seems cool, but the whole links being public thing is a turnoff, as I'd like to use it to organize some stuff i want to keep just for me. not porn, just.. ok fine porn.
love the video!
Cool video. Who did it?
I still use Delicious FWIW...but might check this out.
Great idea! Works well.
1. On the landing page I downloaded the extension before signing up and had to go back to create an account.
2. Can I import my existing bookmarks?
Cool beans. Just installed.
One thing that would be great is when I drag the link to a collection, the link automatically takes the name from the meta data. Currently this works for some urls but not long deep linked urls.
In Safari, when you drag a link to another collection, it duplicates it instead of moving it. Bug or normal? should move instead of copying I think..
