I use a new Macbook Air daily and wouldn't change it. Hook it up to a Thunderbolt Display and I'm golden.

^ Just what I was thinking. Are you guys connecting to external monitors?
I use my laptop mainly for freelance, working at random coffee shops. Photoshop is cramped enough on my 15".
- Yeah, couldn't do a 13". I find Adobe stuff grand on 15" but Logic Pro kills me without an external.kingsteven

I can't see how anyone can work on a 13" monitor.

definitely compare the air and macbook pro 13" retina in person. The actual physical difference between the two is a lot smaller than it appears in the product shots

No, waiting for the new one myself. Although some rumours suggest it'll be a different body style so almost guaranteed to explode. You can occasionally pick up end of line models in Currys stores with apple care thrown in. G/F got a non-retina 13" for £999 with applecare last year on 0% finance.

Recent MBA are great, but the Pro 13" Retina might be better suited for work, depending on what you do — and it's only half a pound heavier.
Either way, don't get one with less than 8GB RAM.

No. Will give you cancer and crab hands.

I'm about to buy a new laptop.
Last time I did this, they bought out a new one straight after.
Is it safe to get the 13" MacBook Air?
