Millions of people may share the genetic sequences of ancient warlords, including Genghis Khan and others whose identity remains unknown
- was not in bible, therefore requires you to be there to verify this "science" beliefmonospaced
- No wonder you're confused. As any fool knows, Ghengis lived 1000 years after the bible was sellotaped together.Morning_star

Why animals eat psychoactive plants
- With the current successes in MDMA/ayahuasca therapy for combatting PTSD/Depression/Altz... etc we aught to be looking to the animal kingdom alot more.Morning_star

- Dogs who aren't even that thirsty will drink from a puddle of auto coolant and die from it. Let's not put too much stock in what animals do.********

Last night, BBC2, very interesting.
BBC Horizon : A look at the evidence of gravitational waves - ripples in space and time - discovered at the South Pole in March 2014.
Apologies if you can't get iPlayer in yo yard.

Yesterday, BBC Radio 4. More stuff scientists haven't got a fucking clue about.
In our time: Melvyn Bragg and his guests discuss dark matter, the mysterious and invisible substance which is believed to make up most of the Universe. Today astronomers and particle physicists are still fascinated by the search for dark matter and the question of what it is.
- No shit? We don't even know what is gravity is beyond modelling its effects.detritus
- Trouble with people like you is you misconstrue science as being some god-like absolute that presupposes it has answers to everything.detritus
- It's people who believe shit like that who fuck everything up for the rest of us, who are happy trying to wade through the gloom, knowing our ignorance.detritus
- It's OK to say 'we don't know'. Scientists seem to have a BIG problem saying this. Which does point to some fundamental issues with science that need addressing.Morning_star
- I said that <Morning_star
- The Scientific community is based on being able to say they don't know. That's what DRIVES the whole thing. Figuring things out.monospaced

Had to smirk at something I heard elsewhere on BBC recently, with some science personality trying to explain what dark matter is "right now I have hundreds of thousands of dark matter particles streaming through my hand..".
You do?
Says who?
You sure you're not thinking of neutrinos?
