Used to see celebs all the time while I was at UCLA. John Lithgow would park in the same parking lot I did, used to walk by him all the time (his wife is/was a professor there).

But I'd never interrupt their day. Fun to say it here, but I prefer to give them their space, just another person that happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Saw this little legend whilst walking about in Cambridge. I didn't realise at the time he lived there.

I've seen quite a few 'celebrities' I try not to make a big deal, I imagine they just want to get on with their days.

I work in Soho on Broadway/Prince so I see a lot of celebrities.

    1. Anna Paquin
Was walking in front of her while she was pushing a stroller with her two kids. Paparazzi were hounding her taking photos and all I wanted to do was say to her, in Bill's voice, "Sookie."

    2. Joe Montana
I was crossing broadway and I saw him on the curb looking confused at all the stores like he was trying to find something and couldn't. He looked so confused and I wanted to say hello or ask if he was looking for a receiver. I couldn't bring myself to say hello b/c he looked so lost.

    3. Gerard Butler
I was smoking a cigarette outside of my office when I heard someone walking down the crowded street talking so loud to a friend. I was thinking to myself, who's this asshole talking like that as he walked by I recognized him. I thought to myself, what a douche.

    4. Phil Lesh from the Grateful Dead.
This time I introduced myself because I'm a huge fan. I was walking on Broome and I notice him walking toward me. As he passed I recognized him and I said "Phil" rather loudly because I was surprised. He turned around and said "Yes, do I know you?" I responded, "I can see how you would think that by the way I said your name but no, I'm a huge fan and we don't know each other." I shook his hand and thanked him for years of great music and he we were both on our separate way.
