I have a hover that works fine on desktop
but on the iPad, it only works once.. after that it doesn't fire up again.Anyone know this problem?
Care to share a solution?Thanks

well, that's because a 'hover' doesn't really exist on a touch device. The first one is just the behavior of iOS that fires the :hover-event on first touch (click/release).
you could fire it another time by holding onto another link until iOS's menu pops out, disable the menu and then you should have another try..

no hover on touch

I know there's no hover on touch, but it works.
you click on it once and the hover fires.but it's only firing once...
what can I do to resolve this?

:focus maybe?

this makes no sense. do you mean a tap and hold to open a menu. get the term hover out of your vocab when referring to touch devices.

hrm - no hover on a tough device unless you're a jedi.

Ok, I'll start again, no need to get touchy about terms...
I'm doing a little site, that has .hover through jQuery and is intended for Desktop, not mobile... But
I want it to work on mobile too, because it's not that complicated..
the problem is that the hover isn't working well on touch (for obvious reasons..) I don't want it to behave like a hover, but to make it work like every hover works on iOS (i.e when you touch it, it fires the hover and waits for you to click on something else)
It's working like that, but only the first time you touch it, after that, it doesnt respond anymore to touch. My question is, what can I do about it? Has anyone bumped into this already and what solution would be the best?
What code can I use to make it usable?

why don't you just activate it on tap? makes perfect sense and will work fine.
- That's what I did, for mobile only..ESKEMA
