Constitution does protect the right of parody. Like the 2 Live Crew case, where they put dirty lyrics into the Roy Orbison song "Pretty Woman."

nsfwtumblr isn't a parody, it is a derivative work attempting to emulate tumblr, not only in name, but also functionality without permission of the brand's (tumblr's) permission, only in a niche market. The fact you keep saying it is a different word is either delusion or just plain stupidity. Everyone knows what nsfw means, everyone knows what tumblr is... except maybe you it seems.
This is a parody, which is protected.

I respect Rabbit's efforts here and the fact that Tumblr feels the need to attempt to shut down the site suggests that the site has revenue potential. I would set up a shell corporation to protect your personal assets, host it outside of your home country and hope shit hits the fan. Worst case scenario is they sue your host to shut down the site, until then contact the media and make a big deal to drive as much traffic as possible. It's very low risk and I'm a little suprised how many of you have a pickle in your ass over this.
My stance would be to call it a 'fan site', just like a car club not affiliated with the car brand, so I wouldn't walk away just yet. You're not representing yourself as Tumblr and in fact, you're promoting content found on Tumblr that they technically don't own the copyright to either.

...and if Tumblr really wants you to stop, they'll simply offer you some cash to buy the domains. I would start the bidding at $10k for all three and see if they bite, you know the lawyers are getting that just to write you that letter.
