I don't remember hearing they were going to do this.
I don't care, personally. AS 2 is a advertiser requirement.

Considering flash is pretty much relegated to banner adverts now this is a pretty big deal.

Adobe should wake up.... they have a deep conflict between the java-like object oriented purists who make huge flash apps vs the hack-it-together ad agency people who make banner ads...
... and guess what, the banner ads may be the future of flash, not the huge flash apps running on adobe AIR(head) which is probably dying due to steve's dictum...
can anyone tell me much about huge AIR apps still in development?
or is Adobe thinking people will write AS3 for some intermediate environment that's then translated to native apps on IOS and Android? or would people rather use something else, or go native?

Yeah, it's why I've been sticking to CS6 (have CC installed but don't use it). There's still a lot of sites w/ ad slots that require AS2. I was REALLY surprised to find this out.

Nope, no option for that. Just FP10 AS3 is the lowest pub setting. No bingo bango.

this is why you need to keep the CS6 version hanging around. bingo slammo.
- I always keep the previous version for a while. It takes a while before you know you don't really need it.CyBrainX
