As with all CMSs there is a cut off point for client competence, below which it is not possible to use a CMS. This limit will be found painfully, and the fact that it exists will be your fault.

Build a custom CMS with fewer options to match your design & client's content. That way, no matter what they do, no problems. This of course costs significantly, more but well worth it in terms of control in the end.

Concrete5 is my favourite. A few QBN'ers use it.
Wordpress fucking blows.

Wordpress + Advanced Custom Fields. Use ACF to replace the normal wysiwyg editor with your own fields, so that the client is forced to input content exactly as you want it, and the ability to fuck it up with random formatting is eliminated.
- Yup, plus you can learn the functions.php file action to setup some custom post types too, for even more ease.mantrakid

You can make life easy for your client by defining a limited set of styles and creating WP shortcodes for these. I find that works pretty well.

^ I read about it today while I visited happycog. Have you used it in a few projects ?
- Just starting a project with it. Have used WP in the past and Craft looks streets ahead so far.JamesBoynton

Install a plugin that hides all unnecessary admin options - it looks so easy with just posts / pages / media... which is all they need in most cases.

easier than wordpress to update???
just dick around with it, and don't get frustrated, you'll get used to it quick,
just be careful with what template you use, some bad developers make templates that are a pain in the ass when it comes to doing even simple updates.
