I so dig bluebottle. There's one near me in Williamsburg.
SUPER addicted to coffee at the moment.
Better than smoking, right?

La Area continued...
Intelligentsia,Pasadena- Less crowded than Silverlake except on the weekend
http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.…Handsome Roasters, Downtown LA- Good Coffee but they were a bit pretentious with their fascist no sweetener rule- They were recently purchased by Blue Bottle Coffee so I excpect some changes.
http://www.handsomecoffee.com/Stumptown Coffee, Downtown LA- I found myself going here more than Handsome as they seemed less pretentious.
http://stumptowncoffee.com/locat…Cafe Vita- If the crowd at the Intelligentsia Silverlake is too much for you drive up Sunset Blvd. a couple blocks and enjoy a cup here.
http://www.caffevita.com/locatio…Cafe demitasse, Little Tokyo- Excellent Cold brew done Kyoto style.
http://cafedemitasse.com/Cafe Dulce Little Tokyo- good coffee tends to get more crowded and loud here than Cafe demitasse
http://www.cafedulce.co/Copa Vida, Pasadena- Just discovered this place tucked away on Raymond... great coffee!

I'm quitting it again. Between being jet-lagged last week after vacation out in Hawaii, not getting enough sleep, and relying too much on coffee to keep me sane, I decided it was best to break free from it again. Especially with a baby on the way - the last thing I want to do is enter that world of sleeplessness while trying to medicate myself with caffeine.
I just need to get more sleep and eat a better diet that will keep me running all day long. And it sucks because just a few weeks ago I totally fell in love with this barrel-aged iced coffee a place down the street from me makes.
I've given it up for 2 years before, and recently 8 months in 2013, and I'm just a happier person all the way around. Less anxiety, less likely to snap at stuff that bugs me. Still drink decaf, and found some stuff called Teecino that's sort of a tea that's like coffee, and no caffeine. It's not too bad.
- but when you DO go back, that first cup must be heaven. ; )dopepope
- Yeah, when I went back last year, it was in moderation and it was greatness. :)mg33
- It's the ritual of coffee (buying, ordering, making, drinking) that is addictive as the stuff itself.mg33
- Tackling a new born baby without coffee..? Your bravery is impressive.Al_dizzle
