Hai!
i will be there for two days this weeks, where should we go in the city? Anyone know Belfast?
Also, we will be in Dublin 2 days, where should we go in the city?
:)

hah, why!?
real bad timing though. we tend to get all our festivals in early as we're already gearing up for the fife and drum wielding multi cultural curfew that is july... (seriously about 20 great shows in the last 2 weeks... now nothing)
this exhibition is good (and may help explain the previous paragraph)
http://www.belfastexposed.org/ex…this is my housemate's bar/ local... few good things coming up.
http://menageriebar.tumblr.comthere's a few big touristy things to do regarding Troubles and the Titanic etc. never really appealed to me - but could be interesting.

When are you coming to Dublin? What part of the city are you staying?
QBN Pints? :D

we're on an organized tour of Ireland for 16 days starting in two days! :) Everything is already planned except some free time in Belfast in Dublin.

btw. 'benfal' is like the only QBN user name my g/f knows and uses it regularly to slag me for spending too much time on here. ie. "how's benfal"... "so, is benfal still obsessed with scarlett johansson then?" etc.
when your over ... lets go fuck that bitch up

checkout Porterhouse in Dublin. Great live music and beer selection....was in Dublin just a few weeks ago. Would go back in a second.

Get ready for the sun going down after 11:00pm. That was the coolest part about being there. Being able to drive all day and see so much more because it was not dark till late. And, that helped a lot on narrow roads driving on the left side.

what are the best streets to go in Dublin and Belfast?
we dont want to go in the wrong directions/places where there's nothing interesting
- mg330
It's a really beautiful country. You'll be driving right? Ever driven on left side of road?

What are you interested in? How much time have you got? I would happily make an itinerary for you.

^ Wow, I live about ten minutes away from Northwood. I'll do out a full day and a night itinerary for you. When are you here? Just so I have an idea of when I need to get it done by. Will you be driving or relying on public transport? Obviously, just say 'woah dude' if you want to just chill and do your own thing, I'd be delighted to give you as much or as little advice as you want. Either way, I hope you have a great trip!

we will be in Ireland next Thursday. We will be in Dublin May 18-19th and 28-29th.You know we just want some cues on wich streets are cool to walk.. wich area worth the visit. We just dont want to end in the industrial zone because we dont know the city :-P
Some advices, like "dont go there" "that street is cool" ... y'know.
No driving, relying on public transport and our foot.
thanks :D

Take in the titanic Museum in Belfast - it's quite well done.
If you have a hire car, a drive up the Antrim coast is great scenery - so long as the weather stays nice.
The Crown Bar in Belfast is National Tust property - it's an amazing littl eplace where many movies, tv shows and commercial shave been filmed. (Check it on Google images)
Victoria Square has brand-name shopping in a nice new complex.
There is a stall usually outside Donegall Arcade (not far from Victoria Square in the city centre) that sells the photography of local Frankie Quinn ( www.frankiequinn.com ). He photographed all through the troubles in the city and has a great documentary portfolio.

Temple Bar is touristy but that's what you want to see. Grafton Street is also the standard, you can grab some take out and sit on the grass in Stephen's Green, a park at the top of Grafton. Walk through Trinity College and if you have the time, see the Book of Kells and the library.
If you have over half a day and the weather's good, go to Howth, it's a peninsula with a fishing port, yacht marina, lots of seafood places and a great cliff walk.

Wow, fuck me right!? I forgot to do you an itinerary ... :/ If you are in Dublin tonight you could do worse than seeing Krystal Klear at The Button Factory (https://soundcloud.com/krystalk... or an outdoor screening of the Lion King on the Grand Canal (http://happenings.ie/?p=221), or Horse Meat Disco at the Twisted Pepper https://soundcloud.com/horse-mea….
If you want an "Irish" experience, try The Cobblestone in Smithfield (live traditional music). Or L Mulligan in Stoneybatter for the best selection of Irish craft beers and whiskeys.
If you need to know anything, or want to meet up for an awkward I-vaguely-know-your-name-on-the... beer, I'm game for that too! E. +353868884154
