Sounds like they want to make sure nobody uses pirated versions anymore.
- This is a bad idea for Adobe. Pirating is a good thing for them I'd say.inteliboy
- Absolutely, how do you think photoshop became the industry standard? Every kid shelled out $700?monNom
- Exactly - these kids will go directly to open source - in 5 years this will represent first genuine competitor since the macromedia daysSlashPeckham

"Morris also acknowledged that there will be customers who just can’t switch to Creative Cloud and for the most part, that’s because of the online components like the Beh4nce community and cloud storage features. Government agencies, for example, will not want to use this (or aren’t allowed to), schools won’t want their students to publish their work publicly to Beh4nce and some enterprise customers, too, will not want to deal with these features. For them, Adobe has created special licenses and version of the Creative Cloud that still use the online distribution mechanism, but that won’t include that features that these customers will object to."
Interesting.
- Ad agencies in general due to their client base will need this license.
jonny_quest_lives - Can't see movie or gaming studios wanting even the possibility of their camaigns hitting the cloudjonny_quest_lives

Welcome to the future:
-You don't own anything
-Monthly charge for everything

Man, they almost just convinced me to do it when I upgraded to LR5 this afternoon, but I don't know... It's a great service, I'd get the cheaper version since I have current software.
Something about buying PS6 upgrade and LR last summer at around $400 total, then the upgrade makes me feel like that's wasted money to start using a subscription service. Anyone else feel like that?
- prophetone0
yup.
- ohhhhhsnap0
they have certainly pimped me.
i feel slapped in the face each month around the 22nd.

it's worth it for me, just purchased a CC subscription.
seems way cheaper than buying the whole master suite a few years ago, wasn't it near $2k?
- never have to worry about software being out of datedoesnotexist

I'm probably going to regret not doing it when I start using InDesign again for some photo book layouts. But I guess I can always just get a subscription for just InDesign.
And I didn't even realize they'd already added new PS features in CC, but I'm totally fine with CS6.
- totally fine until you get new files you can't opendoesnotexist

That pen and protractor toy was pretty cool but I question the fidelity of the work you can produce from it.
The galaxy note basically does this doesn't it(Same tech at least)?- Think the Note tech is closer to Wacom actuallyanimatedgif

Why do I always read "Adobe Creative Cunts"

In the future, subscription fee should go down, in theory at least. hope they will be advanced enough to make that happen.
- ukit20
You really think so? If I was Adobe I would do the opposite, jack up the fee once they have a captive audience:)
Hopefully this will spark more competition in the long run.
- who's even close to competing with the software they produce?doesnotexist
