Hydraulics/flaps stuck causing it to fly straight up, which causes the plane to stall and crash. Happened with one US flight I think?

Yeah easy to see why it went down, it was going straight up and lost lift under the wings, but why was it trying to go vertical? Usually things like this turn out to be a problem with the tail.

CarRgo plane in Detroit, 1983. Scary stuff.

You can see at the end the pilot tried to level the plane thinking they might have a better chance of survival if it landed belly down. Gave it their best. RIP

A car-go plane hauling vehicles, combined with steep takeoff procedures in place to avoid RPG strikes, make for the possibility that a vehicle broke loose during the steep climb out, shifting weight load and center of gravity to rear - nose pitches up, plane's wings stall...unrecoverable at that altitude..

Several observers on the ground reported the National Air Cárgo Boeing 747-400 had just lifted off and was climbing through approximately 1200 feet when it’s nose sharply rose, the aircraft appeared to have stalled and came down erupting in a blaze.

c-a-rgo plane loaded with material, in the news a guy said it could be the material that moves transfering the weight in the place and destabilizing it... then the aircraft stalled... Maybe some straps that retain material have broken
