I'm trying to get a realistic sense of how many projects you people have been paid to work on related to their amount of experience. Respond if you like. Here is me:
12 years
About 50-60 projects of varying size.
Nowadays projects range form about 2 months to half a year.

50-60 over the last year.
I need to get out of advertising...- Do you work for the Yellow Pages?fredddddd
- How is that possible?fredddddd

- I do multiple projects in a week sometimes. That sounds about right.Glitterati_Duane
- I'm definitely on more than one project a week on average.CyBrainX

I average 75 projects a year for the past 16 years. Easily over 1000 total.
Bulk of my work is for magazines, which have deadlines of a few days. Ad projects last much longer.

How do you define a project? I've been in this studio for a little over 3 years and have worked on over 300 (probably closer to 500) documents for 4 or more brands/subbrands.
- Something specific that you got paid to do for a client that was defined in a scope of workcannonball1978

Allow me to clarify:
A project is not an individual document or one of several parts of a line of work.A project would be considered a scope of work that was planned for and received a budget that you and possibly more people worked on to achieve something.

Working in-house for 5 years it's about 30-50 a year, from smaller documents to full blown multidisciplinary campaigns. Before that, at agencies/studios, it was closer to 4-7 a year of branding projects.
- ah, if just large scope projects, it's closer to 20-25 a yearmonospaced

8-9 years of experience: Roughly 200 jobs a year

1000+ probably (over the course of 15 years), between 4 and 6 projects a month on average. Banner ad production for ad agencies though, not anything too massive. Most projects usually last a week to a few weeks. Like the small projects, something new every week. Keeps me sane.
