So far seen 4 out 6
overall, a good set of episodes
would rank them as follows...1. San Junipero
2. Nosedive
3. Playtest
4. Men against Fire... San Junipero is, by far, the best one, great story and production. Really bad use of the actor (from House of Cards) in Men against Fire.
Enjoyable watching.

Bit messy this one, and (to me) didn't feel like they did the truly horrifying aspects of the concept enough justice.
Still, leagues ahead of all the other shit out there.
.
“sheep programing” indeed. I bet you actually sit there filling your face with cheetos and bullshit more vapid than half the people you'd accuse of being sheeple, or whatever.
Do you sport a fedora, Yurimon? I bet you do.
A fedora with tinfoil inner lining.
- got jokes. you might as well be racist in how your automated label mechanism kicks inyurimon
- you mean how you labeled it sheep programming? because that's just your mechanism kicking in and nothing moremonospaced

Black Mirror is such a well worked out series. Full of great ideas. If you were to watch it just for the ideas alone, it's a great show. The Christmas Special I thought was amazing. John Hamm was such a great character.
- Plays you like a guitar but still well made, still programmingyurimon
- it's more than well made, it's beyond normal programmingmonospaced

black mirror tamed off substantially
like watching the sniping vipers episode ... we all thought the ending was going to be the kid playing the game and basically getting raped by the friend in VR because of the contextual horror of anonymity in that precedent. instead it's just a new age "well we're partners so let's figure how we can fuck other people" mantra and meh.
this shit should scare people, not alleviate them.

(obviously spoilers)
i'm a big andrew scott fan so my first watch was "smithereens," and while most reviews call it the weakest of the bunch, i found it an intriguingly sublime departure from black mirror's tradition of hitting-you-over-the-head writing.
though the story in and of itself is simple and perhaps a bit drawn out, the layers of despair involved are quite staggering - the private vs state power, the mid-tier executive infighting over "exposure," the both hypocritical and deluded founder, to the average person's inability to deal with life-altering despair during life-changing times. capping it all off with a rather nonchalant dismissal of violence and it's a really stellar episode, perhaps because it dares to break the mold the show had cast itself in and dare to show the boredom of what has become everyday horror.

So does anyone know why it jumps to an earlier season of Black Mirror with the decision tree symbol on screen? How are those two episodes tied together?
- Ah, didn't do this for me, the story went on... maybe you had trouble loading the next phase and netflix reset.spl33nidoru

Wow, that was superb.
Definitely niche though, first half was like a wet dream for UK nerds of a certain age.
Going in again later.
