as an SEO i live in spreadsheets and excel for max blows... so does word. the fact theyre not native is apparent and as far as i know theres nothing to compete on any decent level with them... sure you can open office or use other proprietary software but in the end theyre just trying to 'be' office... thats probably why ill get surface

My email signature from my phone says:
"Sent from my iPad Mini"
I had that signature since the first iPad came out, as a way to mock the fact that the iPad was just a bigger version of the iPod touch/ iPhone.
Ironically the ridiculous invention came to life and my joke is useless I need a new signature.
- Try : Sent from my Huge iPod Touchnbq
- Sent from my iPad mini minimonospaced
- That's a HUGE thumb!!!!fyoucher1
- Or just use this signature: "Ironically the ridiculous invention came to life and my joke is useless I need a new signature. "SimonFFM

I'm still not sure what iPads are actually for apart from locking people into a walled garden.
I've even seem twats taking photos whit them on the street. Man just use your iPhone...
- Other than for work I haven't touched my laptop at home in 9 months. iPads are superb for everyday browsing.set

Should be cheaper.
- Couldn't they have at least kept it at $299, rather than cross the $300 mark?ETM

Maybe I'm an apple sucker. £279 seems alright to me. For what you're getting in.
I paid £400 for my ipad 2 and have used it so much it has more than been justified.
I was saying how my ipad is the perfect size but having something a little handier and half the weight is becoming desirable to me.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for new gadgets.

For me there are two factors which made my mind up to get a nexus 7
1. Boringly price, £80 cheaper for the same thing pretty much.
2. With the nexus 7 for £3.00 plus the price of a usb mounting app you can expand your storage to anything you like and stream video etc. from a wee USB key. I am unaware of anything like that for apple without it having been jailbroken?. This cost would be additional to the £80 I had to pay to get the ipad mini etc.The nexus 7 seems very capable and more flexible than the ipad mini..
Plus I am fully going to use my nexus as a control / external monitor for my DSLR baby yeah :D

Do you have a DSLR set?... or do you do a wee bit of video stuff?... if so have a look at the nexus 7 and DSLR conrolers etc, it's 16:9 screen is perfect plus a good external monitor is like £100....
I fully creamed when I realised I could use a nexus for that shit :D
Lots of people like ios... I'm totally easy going I don't mind either android or ios I dodge between the two without any frustrations.
People like what they like, I'm obviously leaving apple behind these days as I don't rate their stuff anymore. I would probably go back if prices fell more inline with what I deem reasonable. This will never happen though. I did find building my own PC an incredible amount of fun. I also don't really care about my operating system cause I only ever use programs on it so 90% of the time I am rattling around the program and not the OS.
Enjoy your ipad mini though :D it will be class having a new gadget to use awww yeah boyeeee

Dayam! the ipad mini only gets GPS if it's the cellular model you get apparently... nexus 7 price goes down to £199 for the 32 gigs version.

Given apples track record, although I quite fancy a mini now, there's no way i'd buy a first gen one.
Bring on the update.
- hardly 1st gen with their tablet, phone and ipod history, though, right?monospaced
- stupid thing to say. It's the first gen ipad mini.set
- please don't call me stupid... it's a smart thing to say since it's the SAME device just in a different size.monospaced

soooo do i get one? i don't own an iphone or an i pad, I never liked the original ipad size, but when i heard of this one i knew it would work better for me. i like the size and the idea that i can travel and connect to the web without having to carry my laptop, that's quite enticing actually.
will i regret it if i don't wait for the second generation? hmm
- got an ipad and it's pretty much always being used in our apartment - for some people, yup, get oneinteliboy

This is the moment I've been telling everyone about ever since I held iPad 1 in my hands: "this is, from its start, old technology we'll laugh about soon when people get tablets which are light and thin".
This is what I always saw iPads as:
The mini is the first one that makes a bit of sense. It is finally light and thin. I don't see how Apple can sell any of the old iPads now, be it 2, 3, or 4, other than to the retired crowd.
- exactly the reason why i never was attracted to the ipad. the mini does makes more sense.sea_sea
