The font pairing is a touch incongruous and the inverted church arch on the M makes my head read a heavy U in there.

I like it but how would 'The' work at smaller sizes?
- it would be smallmonospaced
- like your dick?Chimp
- wow, that was maturemonospaced
- what do you think this is, NewsToday?Chimp
- This thread is about a logo critique and you insulted me by saying my dick was small. That's just an asshole thing to domonospaced
- Sorry looks like I touched a a raw nerve...Chimp
- there you go again...monospaced
- kids...back to your corners!dbloc
- I like a good comments box dust up. Especially when it reaches 15+ pages********
- it might have gone that far if I stooped to Chimp's level and insulted his mother or something, but I was better than thatmonospaced
- than that, and I don't want to make him crymonospaced

Ya, I see a U in there as well, and with the spikes on the Ls it instantly made me read "the MULE"

Looking nice and seems headed in a unique direction. I'm trying to make something out of the M negative space, but I can't. The points at the median of the letters seem a little strong, but could work if the type were heavier. The point at the end of the L seems a little medieval, not sure if that is what you're going for.
Any background of what she'll be selling would help.

he'll be selling handmade arts&crafts&gifts including furniture. Anything not factory made

feels like a weird mix in my eyes.
some western-style in the points and the lasso/script font for 'the'.
then some gothic style (the M arch and the curves on the dots and Ls). plus the geometric style of 90°angles at the serifs.
the coexistence of those styles in 1 logo needs some cleaning up imo.on another note, if it's for furniture, I would see an actual branding (burning the mark in wood) as a perfect way of tagging those pieces.

i like it. i would just tighten the gap between the two tops of the m.
you could try a version that had the like so
t
h
eeither in the gap like you have it, or just to the left of the M

Curious to hear what the "mill" is in reference to. What is the typeface meant to embody? Is the choice just a stylistic thing?
I agree with others, only, I immediately got a bull reference and did a double take.
- the only reference for the name is that a MIll is where things are made. The logo is to look a bit vintage.dbloc

really surprised no one has said Horrible⢠yet.

I think it look nice. The big swoop in the M bother me a little bit though.
- Chimp0
Whats your rationale behind it looking slightly gothic? Was this done so it doesn't look so feminine?
- reanimate0
It looks retro-Western to me more than gothic. I see cowboy spurs.
- teh0
kinda has a gothic be-witched look to it. I'd say it is perfect if you can figure out the white space in the M.
By "your girl" do you mean daughter or wife or gf?

To be honest, I feel it would look better sans all the spikes. They feel unnecessary and are distracting. Also don't get the half-spike serifs on both "L"s...

I want those embellishments to be the teeth of a saw blade, but it doesn't come together that way and I am left despondent by the experience.

I dig the peculiar nature of the letters and think the M is cool, I just don't like how "the" is stuck in the M like that at all. Its taking away from the uniqueness of the M! I'd try making the spines on the ILL be smooth curves like the center of the M so they match more.
- teh0
I like it.
Maybe make "the" and M in MILL more craft-like stitched-in or stencil cut paper...ishHope that helps.
- teh0
I'm also trying to see the space in the M as something.
Is it something?
