Is there any way to turn off the customized ratings? I am sick of it telling me a movie is four stars when people really rated it two etc

it's based on an engine that takes in account every vote, if one person voted 2, but the majority voted 4, it will most likely give it 4 not 2.
You only see the first 10 or so votes when you click on the movie, but you get a sense of the majority of votes from the final count.
at least that's how I think it works, and I don't know shit hahaha
But what I can tell you is that no matter what site you are on, ratings should mean nothing to you, some people love horror movies, I don't like them, so to other people Saw 3 can be a 7 star rating, and I'm going to rate it 1 star because they won't allow me to rate it zero.
Hope that helps

You must have not rated anything. Once you start ratings stuff it changes the ratings based on what it thinks you "like"
