It's actually making me kind of angry that he may get his titles taken away. If I were him, I would fight that with a vengeance. It's totally clear - USADA - a fucking anti-doping agency - has no regulatory or penalization authority in international events they don't manage. They're even going after things beyond the time period they can penalize within to do exactly that. Would love to know how sizable Travis Tygart's bank account is on account of money from French cycling to destroy Armstrong. See what I just did there? Made up my mind about someone with no fucking proof.
- Did you know property seizure in the US is on the rise? most are not criminal. they use civil law to try to take your shyt.yurimon

Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot partners JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk are going to make a movie about the epic rise and fall of doping bicyclist Lance Armstrong. They’ve just closed a deal for screen rights to Cycle Of Lies: The Fall Of Lance Armstrong..

criminalise a guy on a bike...way to simplify an issue mate.
Tell that to the companies and governments who paid this bloke millions upon millions of dollars all on the basis of a lie. And that's discounting the fact he's clearly guilty of perjury, but will probably escape prosecution due to statute of limitations.
That's criminal enough for me.

@albums he's not just cheated to win a bike race though, that along with several ego driven decisions mean he has broken several laws, he has defrauded a lot of money from both organisations and individuals, he has wrecked the careers/lives of several individuals in the cycling industry (for the terrible crime of taking a stand against the drugs cheats) to protect himself.
He should be confessing, but not to fuckng Oprah, he should be in front of committees, infront of judges and face to face with the people he has fucked over. And then he should face all the consequences any other person in his position would face.
A hug from Oprah makes nothing alright.

this is an interview with an irish journalist that pursued Lance for 13 years and the team masseuse that broke the facts to the press.
vindication at last

The seven who should have won, and enjoyed the spoils of victory, denied by a cheat. Tell them to get over it Albums. Tour De france winners enjoy a degree of fame that can bring a degree of financial security for a long time after the event. Some of those people will fall into obscurity, with no recognition, and no reward, and none of the benefits that Armstrong has enjoyed by stealing their victories.
Tell them not to get so strung out about a guy on a bike.
- The runner-ups were probably doping, and their runner-ups, and theirs too, and probably another 20x until you get the last guy who might be cleanmonospaced
- the last guy who might be clean.monospaced
- The loser was actually the winner.Horp

Lance is an athlete and a competitor.
His positives (& negatives) are multiplied exponentially by the public eye.
People love heroes; worshipping false idols.
Their heroes are more often than not revealed as mortal through a revealing of character flaws either mental or physical.
Lance is simply a martyr for a generation of athletes who wanted to perform like gods.
- <duckseason
- martyr?... cheater doesn't equate to martyr... what about all those who don't cheat? Are they just morons?PonyBoy

"Lance is simply a martyr for a generation of athletes who wanted to perform like gods."
Are you on crack? Do you know the full story? He is a sociopathic a$$hole.
"There were teammates who's lives were ruined when they told the truth and he used his power and reputation to force them to settle out of court when they couldn't afford better lawyers or continued legal fees. They lost their spot on the team, and credibility in the sport, their livelihood. He forced Trek to drop endorsements of other cyclists based on false claims. Nope. No one has been hurt."
- How old are you? Do you follow cycling? How much context do you have NOT from others?ideaist
- I'm speaking in regards to the prima donna in question; not his team, friends or family...ideaist
- Old enough to be your father. Yes I do, and it's well known the dude is a prick.severian
- Lance had no shortage of confidence; it seems he lacked humility leading to his downfall...ideaist
- If you're 60 (the age of my father) you must be a Catholic priest to be hanging out on QBN... ; )ideaist

I didn't care about Lance Armstrong when he was on his rise to fame, and I don't care about his lies or confessions. Nor did I care about his competitive bike riding. Why am I in this thread?
- whhipp0
lol @alubums you are way off base. What, you trying to take my persona from the politics thread and ruffle some feathers here in the Lance thread? Well, good on you, you've done a terrific job. YOu learn well. ;P
