A client has been doing their personal invoices and other documents in Excel, but randomly wants me to design a nicer system for them.
I don't think they have Indesign. Is there any way to create templates, or is this trouble?

They don't really need forumla calculations, do you think pdf with editable fields would work?
Or are there other ways?
- It's fairly easy to do. The issue may be optionally spanning multiple pages on larger invoices.ETM

why not just use something like this:

A Word doc can embed excel tables/caluculations I believe.
have a look around on the MS office templates (online I think), you might find one that's not far off of what you're looking for.
Word is definitely preferable to PDF from a client perspective. As they already "know" it.

How many invoices a month/year do they do?
