Re: pitching politics at a corporation. Well, the thing that has always made the US capitalist machine function is the role of civil society supporting the corporate / state messaging. In fact, the role and the use of civil society as a means to transmit corporate propaganda IS the main reason US politics looks and operates the way it does.
Look at it this way, you can go to your local school board and say "Hey, I'd like to run a free 'Young Entrepreneur' seminar for the kids?"
That'd probably go down really well. Nods all around, the local small business coalition would probably send you materials to use, hell Coke might even get on board and supply refreshments.
No go and say "Hey, I'd like to do a seminar for the High Schoolers on the history of worker's rights and how to organize a union." and see what support happens.

Our Founders knew the structures we surrounded ourselves with - State, Market, etc. - are simply matter of choice and will. As long as we are willing to accept and suffer under the evil assumption, stage managed by mass media, that somehow "market capitalism" run by politicians for the interest of Financiers and mega nationals because we have grown accustomed to it - and taught to fear the very fact that we have options to how we choose to structure our society - well things won't change. The same way mankind labored for centuries under the idea that Kings had Divine Rights and that Feudalism was the proper structure, and that the concept of democracy and Free Men was somehow against god.
Our circumstances are always far wider and more malleable than we allow ourselves to believe. We would rather suffer under them, and be told that there is little we can do to change things, than do something to change them.
Sucks that as a species we have to relearn the same shit over and over again.

Whipp isn't a troll he is just expressing his voice and his republican sensitivities. However repugnant they are to you and I. I'm just sad for him and the rest of his kidney, he is no doubt middle class and the republicans he would vote into power fucking hate the middle class. God help people like whipp they are like a beaten partner trapped in an abusive relationship too scared to leave and get out of the woods because they are clouded by fear and hate. You stand absolutely no chance whatsoever to survive in the long term if you vote republican. They will squeeze and tear your flesh until there is nothing left and then they will move on.
