This PBS shit is ridiculous. Shows like Sesame Street are money making machines. They pay for themselves. Majority of PBS funding goes to prop up broadcast affiliates in remote/rural and other money losing markets and a public service. Fine cut it.
Who likes PBS, kids and old people. So you want to limit access to something rural communities and old people like? Which last time I checked, were big GOP demographics. In the meanwhile, PBS will continue in more successful (and often liberal markets).

The billions (as much as 500 billion over 10 years) the GOP Congress is forcing down the military's throat to buy equipment they don't need or want. When the Pentagon itself recommended these cuts to save money. How does that help reduce debt?
Only two reasons this is happening:
1. Keeping their buddy military contractors happy. The defence contractor making the tanks said that it's cheaper to keep the factory open making unwanted tanks then to shut down and restart it when demand is there. So there's some socialist gov money from the GOP.
2. Other reason is a lot of the jobs lost with the military cuts would hit Ohio. A swing state. But wait Ohio. Post election, when you are not a pawn in their strategy, expect some jobs lost.
