Weren't they a big athletic company that wanted to be Nike. They had RUN DMC.
Now they're a joke and make shoes that look like this:

They're all Adidas Originals - which covers re-issues of classic shoes, and street wear. It's separate from their performance athletics stuff, and has been that way for quite some time.

funny you mention this. I was in the bus today and noticed a cyclist wearing a pair of these... with shorts and a black t-shirt... hard to NOT notice to be honest.
I had seen them in blogs and stuff but was surprised to see somebody wearing them.
Think is one of those things they did for PR purposes and will end up in Tik-max in the end...
