Their parents must be so proud...
Have these kids been outed...been punished at all?
- Naygon0
Here's a good roundup and the one shooting it has been quoted saying "I had no clue it would go this far," I doubt you'll hear much from them as they are minors.

what is a bus monitor?
- tOki0
I can only speculate that if someone had stepped in it quite easily could of gotten worse - I wouldn't of put it past them to beat or stab someone. (that is probably the most scary part of these packs of runts)
It's always great to see an outpouring of compassion from absolute strangers helping out someone less fortunate than them. Like some of the comments on that fundraising site, I can't but feel a bit disenfranchised with the crowd mentality of internet causes that is permeating english speaking society at the moment.
"OMG KONY!"
How about "OMG the girl down the road" who was gang raped and beaten to an inch of her life? Or her boyfriend or husband who is often equally as much a victim, or the many people in abusive relationships, the children who are beaten or molested..No one deserves to be treated that way, but there are way more fucked up things happening regularly all around us in every town and suburb - yet most of us do nothing.
It is not about individual cases, but rather society being numbed and watered down to the point where we rather avoid these topics altogether - even the media does not report on many of these issues. Society as a whole doesn't seem rally behind victims unless it goes "viral" or ends up on the 7'oclock news..

Ok, i guess i am missing something:
She was the bus monitor. She was stationed in that bus to prevent kids from misbehaving and report them if they did. Why didn't she write them up? i know in my kid's school the bus drivers (who don't have the luxury of having a second adult on board) have radios to call the school. Why didn't she take the disciplinary action she was put on the bus to do? Why couldn't ask teh driver to stop and help her take care of it if she needed to? Would she have been as inactive had a kid been the victim of this harassment? So what would have happened if these geniuses hadn't posted this video which implicates them? Would she have just cried her tears and gone home?
These poorly paid and poorly educated (in child behavior, at least) and, consequentially, ineffective school employees are part of the problem. All of the problems that have ever happened at my kids school are when these type of people are in charge. They congregate together on the playground and chat, occasionally yelling across the playground to get someone to stop something. Or they completely overreact to minor infractions while ignoring bigger problems because it's not worth their time or effort. And so kids learn that they can walk all over them without recourse.
Theses kids are idiots and their parents should be ashamed that they've acted this way.
- i agree she wasn't doing her job. she does mention in her tv interview that she felt she would've been fired if she had done anything._salisae_
- done anything. who knows what the political implications are in areas like this._salisae_
- i hadn't seen that part but i'm skeptical of the excuse. It's easy to pass the buck, though it's not unheard oflocustsloth
- she has the wrong job. hopefully she invests this money and doesn't have to do this kind of work any longer._salisae_
- agreed. They need bar bouncers to sit on these buses. Old ladies may as well have a target placed on themlocustsloth
- moldero0
- Physical punishment often passes the buck. Children take the anger and shame of being hit and pass it on to someone elselocustsloth
- Corporal punishment is a quick but temporary fix to behavior problemslocustsloth
- "You shouldn't do this because it's wrong" is a lesson. "You shouldn't do this cause i'll whoop ya" is a threat and often a challenge to try and get away with thingslocustsloth
- challenge to try and get away with thingslocustsloth
- those kids deserve an ass whoppin, if not from parents, from someone, they need to be taught respect in a drastic waymoldero
- you can always spot someone whos never been in a real fight or gotten their ass beat when they act with such lack of respect like thatmoldero
- People who'd been in a fight would be MORE likely to be disrespectful of this woman because they know they could take herlocustsloth
- take herlocustsloth
- doesn't really work like that but ok.moldero
- And not all kids respond to violence in a positive(?) way, but oklocustsloth
- true. yeah it really depends, i for 1 will never lay a hand on my kid, ever. i see stuff like that vid thoughmoldero
- and i see severe old school ass whoppins, not much else. crazy to let a kid get to that point of such lack of respect.moldero

- I don't understand how money is going to make this better.moniker
- It'll make the people donating feel better, and I guess that's about as much point as the internet can musterdetritus
- She can retire early and leave the shithead kids for good.ETM
- I'm sure she'll feel better chilling' in the sungoldieboy
- moldero0
- oh! i thought you were talking about spanking. This stuff would be fine.locustsloth

Kids need guidance. If you don't correct them they could act like animals and deem their actions as OK.
kids need nurturing and guidance through this system. She should have corrected them compassionately, but she did nothing. I don't understand if your job is to keep things in order and you sit through a kid mocking you then you are not teaching a valuable life-lesson.
I'm a big believer in words will never hurt me but to let the behavior persist is only creating social-retards that we all have to deal with later on.
It almost seemed like she didn't want to be there.
Please!!! If your gonna be a chaperone to these little fuckin retards Please keep them in check!!! A slap to the head, write them up or a good verbal beat down!!!
I am tired of going to the museum, the zoo and dorney park and dealing with these groups of social outcasts bread by the lowest of human scum!
These kids are to blame some-what but they are like untrained dogs. The majority of the blame rests on the parents or lack there of!
- She's the bus monitor, there to make sure nobody chokes on a crayon or gets in a fight, not to teach them or guide them or raise them as her own.i_monk
- raise them as her own,
Don't blame the victim.i_monk - She is really only a victim in this if she cares what they say.74LEO
- but as an adult i_monk she didn't do anything so everything cancels out.74LEO

I'm glad she's ok and gets all that money, poor lady.
- kona0
I'm really glad she got all that money.
Now she can pay for a hit on those f*cking kids.
- cotton0
I'm enjoying the fact that people are more worked up over this video than the international problems going on at the moment.
It's also fairly spectacular that people want to paint the blame on the old lady rather than the shitty little kids that seem to take their style of harassment right from the threads of asshole comments on virtually any video/forum/article etc.

As with all sob-stories and heartbreaking news I ask myself how can I profit from this.
