I don't even know why they bother making it look like that, they know how Apple feels when people mimic their design so closely. I'm talking about the bezel and the rounded corners that so much resemble the iPad.

I still don't understand how grown adults still are such fan boys for any giant conglomerate. Always reminds of the playground NES vs. Genesis arguments as children.
I am also tired of hearing it either looks like Apple or it's not as slick as Apple. Whether it's Samsung or MS or HTC. Fanboys are hilarious. If it doesn't look like Apple, it looks like shit, but if it does look something like Apple, they scream "copiers!"
Since this is an MS thread, I can't leave out "Why doesn't MS do something different than just copy Apple?"... and when they try different things, "WTF, that's not like Apple!."

I dunno, skimming through the engadget comments, where are these so called fanboys? Everyone keeps talking about them but they seem non-existent. It's like the android/ms crowd need to keep creating this big bad evil that is the apple fanbase, when in reality sites like that are pretty much dominated by PC users.

Well ETM let's face it, the entire product and the new direction of Windows is a reaction to Apple. I see it as a good thing though because Apple forced Microsoft to pay attention to design.
Could have potential. What will the price be?

I don't buy into the ad hominem bs. If Ballmer/MS sell a good product, I'm all for it. I use a mac on the daily, so I view the MS brand as a frustrating-as-all-hell clusterfuck. They have to impress me as a consumer. It seems interesting, if a little "me too", but I'm willing to check it out and see what it has to offer.
Am I the only one that thinks that logo looks really odd, though? I love Paula Scher's work, but fuck...It'll take some time for that one to grow.

i just picked up a nokia lumia 710 instead of an iphone and love the new the windows os. it's really clean and grid happy and easy. am looking forward to windows 8 which is weird for me be a mac nerd but there you have it. the surface looks really nice imo.
