I am sure some of you have run into this problem of trying to find what javascript function is being called by a click/hover on a page.
Do you guys know of any plugins that can do this?

firebug

Ive used breakpoints etc but the jquery gets in the way.

in chrome, right-click and 'inspect element'. look under 'event listeners'
you may need to move up to the parent elements to find the attached listeners.

if you are looking for jQuery listeners in Firebug add the jQuerify plugin ... most listeners are on the <body> effectively in jQuery so you need that plugin to find the source of the event

my bad ... it's called FireQuery: http://firequery.binaryage.com/

I couldnt get this to point to the function, in this case that the mouseover was triggering.

Is it a page of your own that you're investigating, or someone else's ?
