Good flick. Best part is when he got shot.

Seriously though. He had cancer on his toe and refused to have it removed because his religion wouldn't allow it? Tard

I have the hardest time watching Bio flicks,
because it gets stuck in my head like it,s the real thingwhen it's actually just another Hollywood interpretation
on another note, I believe bob was assassinated just like Jimmy, john, Kurt, ...

As you may already know this is the first documentary about Bob that has been fully accepted by Bob Marley's family and Tuff Gong label. It was mostly interviews with friends and family close to him.
I was not surprised that they left out the fact that a few months before his death he was baptized by the Christian Orthodox church of Ethiopia and he denounced his Rastafarian beliefs to the shock of his close friends and family.
- so they left this bit out,
thanks for the infogeorgesIII - boys who went to school in jamaica in that era went to catholic school, taught by nuns. rasta was something he adopted later in life.sine

- check out 'Studio 1 Story' by SoulJazz for some more history on the early days of Jamaican music industry... http://www.souljazzr…sine

I actually watched this last friday (4/20) and got pretty baked for the first time in months. It's streaming in HD on VUDU through the PS3 network. I thought it was really good, I was huge Marley fan in my 20's but got pretty burnt out on his music but this rekindled my appreciation of his music. I actually got goosebumps when he had the 2 opposing politicians shake hands on stage.

I have had the hardest time trying to watch this on directv. I had to order a wireless modem that hooks to the box. I'm finally gonna watch it this weekend.

I really enjoyed watching it. So sad he died, but it wouldn't have made much sense for him to live slow and die old... he was full of amazing energy.
We need more people like this in the world. What he managed to do in such a violent country like Jamaica is incredible.
