You can buy a PC

Bootcamp or Parallels + an install of Windows.
- Parallels is good. I would also take VMware over Bootcamp.CyBrainX

You can use Adobe Browserlab to take snapshots of pages
But for actual functionality, you'll need a PC or Bootcamp etc

you only can test an IE on a PC. Test it on various Window-Versions (WIN7, WIN XP... ).

a virtual testing ground is not always spot on. I suggest a real environement.
- Spot on enough for IE, if they're still using that then fuck em.animatedgif

I use VMWare Fusion, I have one Windows XP virtual machine with 3 snapshots (one has IE6, other IE7 and another IE8). I have another virtual machine with Windows 7 and have IE9 on that.
- IE6 is a waste of time dude, ok 3 years ago but not todayjadrian_uk
- I still have to test some stuff on that fucking thing.ernexbcn

You don't need Bootcamp or a god damned PC, you just need virtualization software like Parallels or VMWare Fusion, and in there install whatever Windows you want or Linux or even OS X Lion which allows to be installed on VMs.
No need to reboot or use Bootcamp.

I love making stuff that doesn't work in IE. Fuck those people if they don't have the sense to abandon that shit!

What?!?! You don't have a copy of the world's foremost browser IE 5.5 for Mac??????
- I still have it. Totally useless, but I open it about once a year just for shits and giggles. I lead a full life.CyBrainX
- That version of IE actually uses a completely different engine to the Win IE familyanimatedgif
- And hasn't been supported by anyone in many years.CyBrainX
