Help: DVD menu screens

  Need to create a simple DVD menu/splash screen containing a series of downloadable PDFs and playable instruction videos for a client.

  The disc will also need to play through a normal DVD player (although obviously not download the files this way).

  Other than Adobe Encore (which I don't have) are there any realistic alternatives? Does iMovie/iDVD give respectable results?

  Something to similar to this.

  A few submenu options, some containing viewable MPEGs and others with downloadable files, nothing too complicated.

  Probably you'd be looking at DVD Studio Pro or similar software but I think if you want a different menu for a computer vs. DVD player, you might be better to build two separate interfaces and run them on a dual partition disc. No matter what you do, when you pop the dvd into a computer, most of the time the disc will play the standard dvd player version and I don't think you can detect the device from within a dvd menu.

  I used to do DVDs with Studio Pro as well, you just link it to the file hosted online, if you are on a computer you can download it, but if its on a TV, nothing happens.
