Can anyone recommend something similar to this that actually works well?
I've done some research and turns out this product rarely has a good review associated to it

A friend is testing both the jawbone Up and the Fit Bit here at work.
http://www.fitbit.com/He likes both. His pros for the Up is waking you up at an appropriate point of your REM cycle so you will be in the best mood and feel the most refreshed.
- so many bad points to jawbone. i dont want to believe them but too many to mentionliveforever
- FitBit can monitor your sleep, but i don't believe wakes you. also uploads wirelessly, unlike the jawbone up.bulletfactory
- yeh, kinda want to be convinced that jawbone isnt a total waste of time that breaks instantly like its suggestedliveforever

Co-worker just happened to walk by and I asked him about his thoughts on the Jawbone Up - It broke earlier this week. Won't recognize on his iPhone. They are sending another one, but he said he wouldn't recommend.

Worked with these guys a few years ago when I was in SF. Not surprised to see this crap being put out by them. They have no idea what their "next step" is. Jawbone Up is a failed attempt at creating an interesting new product. The Jambox is bad too, and this is crap as well. A half-cooked rush to market. I sound bitter, but I'm just sick of crappy products like this.
Stick to Bluetooth earpieces, Jawbone.
