I've been adopting Whitelines notebooks anyway.

I'm actually thinking about writing some PHP code to auto-generate really bad logo GIF's or PNG's for crowdsourcing contests....
anyone want to help me beta-test it?

If any Architects are reading this, they're laughing. Everything they do is spec work.

I prefer cowskin. Moles are too cute to be used and besides we eat the beef anyway so it's not like we killing the cows just for their skin.
But what's worse is the fact that the moles actually have to sit in sweatshops making them.. and even help skin their own family alive!! Apparently the leather is softer if they experience distress just before they die

It's a logo competition, for use on Moleskine's blog. I don't see what the big deal is. Plus design boom has other competitions and I don't have a problem with any of those either. http://www.designboom.com/weblog…

Someone should design an application that floods crowdsourcing schemes with shitty logos.
- how would you know the app was working?timeless

Stevejobs does have an idea here.... to subvert logo crowdsourcing we could flood the entries with highly derivitive work that would be likely to cause lawsuits from the companies wjose logos were copied... but thus may not work if the legalese is nasty enough to hold the designer liable for any and all claims like this....
And I should know I once worked at a nonprofit that had to change its logo after a huge insurance company's lawyers said it waz too similar to theirs.... most people would have never confused the logos... ours was square theirs was round ... different colors... but we had to reprint thousands of things due to this legal thuggery

Meh.
Molskine = shitty paper in pretty wrapping for way too much money.
- How quality does paper need to be to be suitable for sketching on?Jacque
- When you're playing those prices, it needs to be good.BRNK
- What would you recommend in lieu of a Moleskine?Jacque
- I'm a big fan of Handbook for balance of quality paper and value. Kunst & Papier is also good. Fabriano makes awesome multi-color paper sketchbooks.BRNK

Ha!
"i have had maybe 30-40 moleskins through my career. most of my creativity emerged on moleskines. to every meeting with client i go with a moleskine and take it out to write down notes. to every partners i give a moleskine to help them write down their ideas. it is disappointing to see that this is only an accident, and that moleskin management does not really understand design and creativity. if you need tips how to manage your brand and not ruin it - and obviously you do - call me on + 381 63 268906 and i will teach you what design really is about... for free, no competition."

LOL @ this comment on http://antispec.com/hq/moleskine…
How is this any different than Threadless.
1. Threadless wastes thousands of hours of time a week from people voting and submitting art.
2. Those people are not paid.
3. One lucky one wins.
4. Threadless profits on the hard work of the 1999 people who are suckers.
Oh they can recycle their work and use it elsewhere? Yeah same with Crowdspring.crowdsourcers have no redeeming features in my eyes.
----
WTF - every single person who posts shirts on Threadless knows EXACTLY what they are getting into.
