Got a few mates coming round tonight - we're gonna drink this ...
& play some cards before we head out. Getting bored of the same card games every week, then I remembered Shithead! Quality game it is, but I ain't played it since I was a youngster, what's the best rules for play? Google no help. Cheers,x

I play 2,3,7, 10
2 and 3 can be played on any card.
2 resets the pack, and you play a second card after.
3 is invisible, so the next player has to beat the previous card
7 means the next player has to play equal to or lower than 7.
10 'burns' the pack, taking the cards in the pile out of play for the game - You also get to go again. If four of the same card are played in sequence (without 3s breaking them up) it also burns the pack.
At the start of the game you have 3 cards turned down, with 3 on top of them and three in your hand. Before the game starts you can substitute the 3 cards face up with any of the cards in your hand.

lowimpakt: aye I saw that - but multiple rules, and I was trying to remember the best.
orrinward, cheers mate! That seems to be the way I remember it, not sure about ever playing the invisible '3' but I'll go for it. Take it if a player has a '4' he starts then? If two players both have a four, what then ... red's lower than the black etc?

2s 10s and 3s can be played on anthing. (you can also play with the 2 jokers which make the next person pick up the deck no matter what).
2 resets the deck but does not give you another go, 3 reverses the order of play (or gives you another shot if you are down to 2 players) and 10 burns the deck and gives you another shot.
4 cards of the same value also burns the deck and gives you another go.
And you always have to play before you pick up.
- always playing before you pick up is a very important rule here. makes hoarding wild cards risky.bumdrizzle
