Got something for everyone to do if interested:
Put together a 10 - 15 song playlist that's your ideal riding music. I'm talking the music that would make the difference in you trying something challenging if you had it on your headphones. After last season I can't imagine riding without music. When I was in Breck it made a huge difference on steep stuff, just made the day perfect.
So, interested to see what some of you like to ride to. My usual playlists have lots of: M83, Mogwai (fast stuff) Telefon Tel Aviv, White Lies, Tycho, Daft Punk, Chrystal Castles, The Dead Weather, my friend's band Bible of the Devil, Band of Horses, Black Rebel, DFA1979, Editors, Hum, The Killers, Muse...

Plans in the making: 6 days at Breck/Keystone/Vail in February with about 12 people from Chicago, and Jackson Hole 3-4 days last week in March with the guys that do the bus trips up to Wisconsin and northwestern Illinois that I do all winter.
Also got asked to help chaperone bus trips this winter with the latter group - easy job, get to board on those Saturdays for free and probably make a little cash.
First day this season is Dec 10th, then a 3 day party weekend at a place in Wisconson.
Setting a goal for 20 days this season; got 15 last season and, turning 34 this year I'm so f'ing excited to look forward to another great season.
- 20 days for someone from Chicago sounds like a great season. Good luck.eegrek

I'm doing a bit of driving around this fall in the pacific northwest from Oct 23-November 17th in an RV. I have a chance to go through Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Colorado. But, I've never been to any of those states. I can't believe I never really thought about packing my board until right now.

Test rode a 146 Nug yesterday - finally - and bought one at the end of the day!
Went for the hideous graphics of the Meateaters Nug that you can only get in shops. It's ugly as hell.
I usually ride my 159W 2010 Joystick. The Nug was unreal. Any of you ridden one? The Burton rep suggested the 146, never thought I'd go that small. But damn, what a board. Totally different pop in the tail, easier to butter, lighter, super fun. Tons of control at speed, turned sharp too. I'm so happy I bought it. Love my Joystick and will still ride it plenty, but feel like I'll progress even more with the Nug.
- sweet buddy, sometime uglier is better. if it unlocks hidden levels in your riding then you're stoked.prophetone
- I've been meaning to ride one for a review, I always hear good things about the NUGMSTRPLN
- would you recommend this to someone with little experience in powder? looks like it's easier to control for some reasonMiguex
