Think of something you hate. He is that...of dubstep
- ukit0
Pretty sure he is more like the Justin Bieber of dubstep

If it wasn't for QBN I wouldn't even know who this guy was,
honestly, he's the Tiesto of dubstep,I don't hate him, why should I?

his music is boring and too safe for me.

i kind of hate dubstep to begin with, but holy fuck, skrillex is like the hot topic of dubstep. he might as well be dropping fucking nightmare before christmas and invader zim samples in the middle of his breakdowns. fuck him and fuck his bitch hair
- hahaha. man, so much energy hating something. you may want to go do something fun.capn_ron
- haha nah dude, i don't feel that strongly about him—i think the hype around him's kinda dumb but i dont give a fuuuuuckmcmillions
- The hype around his to make other people money. At the heart of it he can rock his crowd with his own shit, and although I...mikotondria3
- ...don't think it's that great, he's pitched it just right to them and they go nuts, so good luck to him. I hope he has the talent to...mikotondria3
- ..evolve and still be rocking those people in 5 or 10 years time. That's going round the block, not just riding a fad.mikotondria3

well, i am glad everyone is allowed their own opinions to music. I for one could shake my ass to this all night long.
- ha, I hope he's enjoying it and doesn't turn into a cock - it doesn't last long. He seems to be a proper party kid, so fairplay.mikotondria3
- Fuck, that is mind-numbingly boring music.eoin

“electronic music as a branch genre stays pretty shallow as well”
*shakes head sadly*

I actually really like his new track, and a few others, but generally not overly impressed. Just another fish in the sea of dubstep-based stuff.

Don't be haters now, he makes $, from the same what that you do, by using technology. That's all software at work.

I dig it. It doesn't evolve much, but electronic music as a branch genre stays pretty shallow as well. Give it some time when the musicians get old, have some kids, etc.
- hahaha what? doesn't evolve much? a shallow genre? haha sorry too funny imo.prophetone
- i could care less about skrillex but 'electronic' music is a vast universe of awesome going waaay back...prophetone
- also dance producers should at least have the decency to be raging homoskingsteven

I will admit to being affected when I first heard his stuff. I felt like I FINALLY heard a new genre/sub/pocket/whatever of electronic music. The problem is the sound he latched on to is very one dimensional and I'm kind of tired of hearing it now. I have no hard feelings towards the guy, though. Keep on rocking.
Sidenote- I was impressed with the fact that he has a background as a vocalist for some emo band.- Yeh, 2 phrases come to mind:
"Success is never an accident", & "Selling out is so much harder than it looks." Good on him.mikotondria3

Playing preset #4 of his casio keyboard:
man this kind of music never moves beyond the presets and always has that same uniform glossy production. ZZZzzz....
Pales in comparison to the maestro:
And least we forget:
Towa Tei always makes a happy party vibe.
His motivation nights at Air in Tokyo are good.
