Zeiss version is much sharper manual lens.
I would compare Zeiss to Canon L lens. Closest would be 50mm 1.2 L

zeiss are manual focus, right? from what i've read though, you have to turn it quite far which is GREAT for precision focusing, especially when shooting at 1.4. too bad i'm rolling with nikon and have their 50 1.4. this sounds like a great fucking lens!

Only thing about Zeiss lens (for canon, leica etc) is that their focus ring is very tight.
