oey - I have noticed more practical footwear here... I think the cobblestone streets of Amsterdam make for more practical (ugly) footwear. Don't see a lot of heels.
Regardless, get a pair of Nike's cause they are ugly!

I also have a pair of Nike's (Pegasus) because they're one of the best to walk, and mine are very beautiful...
