A couple of days ago he asked my age, and if I was married. I said it was too personal. Today, I get a video link from my gf, and he asked if it was sent from my wife?
I told him asking someone's age is illegal in a interview, and he said that he's not in a interview. I told him that it's a risky conversation. I'm wondering how I can legally tell him to fuck off.- It's illegal to tell someone to fuck off?Continuity

"heard it's illegal to ask someone's age when you're interviewing someone"
It's illegal to discriminate by age when hiring, so no one asks ages during interviews [in the USA]. I don't think it's illegal to ask someones age in an interview, just poor form.
It is not illegal for a co-worker to ask you your age.
Assign this perswon a horrible task and they will avoid you.

I do not believe you are allowed to ask age when interviewing a potential employee... however, years ago, I interviewed at Etnies corporate headquarters (Sole Technology) everything went well. Come to find out I did not get the job because... dun dun dun (dramatic noise).... I was married and had kids... the art director told me that flat out and said "You wouldn't be able to work the hours we would want you to".
Come to find out, about a year later, that this is very illegal and grounds for a hefty lawsuit... well I am not that kind of guy and would rather not work at a place that family is not important.

how old are you?

He's a young little shit, and told me his age is 23.
- 23 year olds are obsessed with people's ages, it's a hangover from being at school and being oh-so different from other 'years'mikotondria3

You tell the temp it's none of his business (if you don't want to tell him), but I highly doubt it's illegal for him to ask once he's employed.
As for asking why someone is out sick, I would think 'is out sick' rather does what it says on the tin. Asking further would be tasteless gossip, though unlikely to be illegal.

I don't think it's 'illegal' to ask the age, but it's perfectly reasonable for you to say you wish not to disclose it.
If you wanted to skirt around it you could say you're in your "20s/30s/40s" to be vague about it.
I don't think it's illegal to ask why someone is out sick either. In a similar vain to the above, it can be asked but cannot be pursued in any other discourse. Doctor's certificates are only required for 2+ days off work (as far as I'm aware)
[...the above is UK specific, and not 100% sure of]

I heard it's illegal to ask someone's age when you're interviewing someone. What about temps? this temp turd here is asking my age, and I told him it's a risky conversation.
I think it's also illegal to ask why someone is out sick?
