OH NO MY MUSIC AND MOBILE PHONE SNAPS :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

its the easiest way for them to control all your data..
if in the end your computer is really just a dumb terminal, then all your software licensing will require constant connection (ala Steam)piracy will still happen, but it will be much harder to be off the grid..

resistance is futile

they will fucking own you... Apple your media and Facebook your Face... cause they scanned it first!

I don't trust this cloud idea. It's another step toward a future where nobody owns anything, even if it's physically in their possession, they just lease access to it. Music and movies are already well on their way there with DRM and draconian copyright laws, and ebooks will do the same to literature.
No thanks.

I'd rather have the cloud control my data than that asshole I used to have to deal with in the IT department of a rather dumb company....

"Microsoft warned that under the Patriot Act the company may be compelled to hand over European customers' data on its new cloud service to U.S. authorities — and also to keep the data transfer secret. This, of course, runs counter to the European Data Protection Directive, which states that organizations must inform users when they disclose personal information."
