Hopefully they will get over this trend. There are a few films where 3D really adds to the experience, but 90% of the time it's just annoying.

That's a shame because 3-d can be really fun.

I can't fucking stand 3D with glasses.. it's not the effect but the blurring on the edges and the stupid annoying glasses.
Until they make glasses-free / full resolution with no blurring 3D I just simply have no need for it.
Not to say that 3D by itself is bad.. it's great actually but it's just the way they have it now is just awful.
- I totally agree. I'm just not into this 1950s technology.CyBrainX

I disgree with you, compared to previous efforts I am comfortable with it's current incarnation.

“Audiences are very smart,” said Greg Foster, the president of Imax Filmed Entertainment. “When they smell something aspiring to be more than it is, they catch on very quickly.”
or in other words: shit is played out and people don't feel like shelling out $18 per person to go to a movie they can watch on netflix in a month or two.

I'm also very disappointed even with the title of this thread when I get fooled into thinking someone is talking about proper 3D and not this shit where you wear paper glasses.
