i'll never understand the mentality of ripping other people's work, and how people can bring themselves to do it. how can you love design and rip work at the same time? and to think that they probably live their entire lives like that, zero moral or ethic standards. such scummy people.
- they don't love design. they love the imaginary glamorous life graphic designer has.pango

What gets me is what happens when someone commissions a piece of design work from him and he can't produce the goods...?

how did you find out about it? lately i see this here on QBN.. but how did you find out about it? how do we find out if our work is getting ripped? are you just google'ing your name or your work? scary times.

Wow. I usually hate these rip threads (usually they really aren't), but damn, that sucks!
I never understand why someone would go through so much effort (why not just get some template and use it?).
Polite email assuring him measures will be taken to protect your work/time/property seems the best route.
Google Alerts - I have these setup for my name, business name, etc., and get emails anytime anything shows up with it. Seems to work really well (I'll get notice that some video got uploaded or whatever).

Post something to youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com
Takes a day or two to get it past review though.

OK, that's it! We need to take care of these douchebags! This is beyond bad and needs to be punished. I know most of you have joked about hurting them, etc... but why don't we hack into their sites and fuck everything up to teach them a lesson?
There has to be somebody here that knows how to hack into sites like this and take care of business.

We should have designer mma matches to settle this type of shit!

Easy. FInd out who hosts his site (whois search). Mail them and explain that they are hosting a site filled with copyright infringements. Give plenty of evidence, they'll ask you to fill out a few forms (standard infringements procedure). They'll know what to do (contact the guy, take down the site).
Even better, get your ex-company involved. They're the ones who sold the work to their clients, and they'll probably have some law firm on their side for a nice & shiny cease and desist letter.Good luck.

in the old days everyone one would just spam him to no end until he just made themselves disappear from the interweb entirely...
- duhsign0
is "stab him in the eye" an option?

I was wondering if he did that as part of a school project? I know in school teachers would give us assignments to rebuild a website and provide all the images to us...prob not but who knows...that's unbelievably blatant...
