Trump Branding and the Birther Romanticists

    What a sad day for the darling romanticists of the Birther movement, a "movement" who's spectacle stood to undermine the executive leadership on the basis of something so inane as to conjure up a certificate. This obsession was obviously race inspired, painting a caricature of patriotism as vomited into what is now the tea party. In reality, the tea party were stragglers sent weeping when G.W. left office. This caricature of patriotism and ignorance was fueled by the rhetoric of toxic media wingnuts like the tanking Glenn Beck, something so scarily beyond bi-partisan bickering. Speaking of toxic media wingnuts, the birthers allowed us to see ego fueled delustionals like Orly Taitz and surprisingly, as recent media racket suggests, Donald Trump. Gag.

    Villifying is an act of desperation, an arm-flailing media tug-of-war that weakens us as a nation and strikes blows to our head in an international spotlight. How is it possible that we live in a period of such ignorance when never before in the history of the printed or digital word is media so readily available to us?

    Trump's recent sideshow suggests he is desperate for ratings, which now that he is taken an extreme political stance, would suggest that his brand will suffer as a result of these convictions. The toiling and flirtation of running for president with an extreme right wing platform must and will take an effect on everything he does henceforth.

    If this is the best that republicans and the tea party can do, a man who has backstabbed and bankrupted many times over, then I am confident in the 2012 election for the Democrats, hell I'm confident for the green party. At least Sarah Palin is a non issue at this point? If your platform is tv shows, flipping buildings and trolling the media, vote for the hair.

    Lest we forget the damage that was done for 8 years under the Bush regime, so much as to allow us to all steer this ship back toward clearer minded, less "you weren't born in the USA" waters.

    Take your terribly designed tea party protest sign and raid some birth certificate vaults, I'm going to look at real issues. Ben Bernanke is about to speak. shhhh

    First things first: he does not represent republicans and for that matter most conservatives. His positions from abortion to the economy and more have swung from very left to crazy off the wall right. Most people I know who are conservative don't take him seriously and would rather he go away. He's more an embarrassment to American politics than any one party.

    I partly blame the media who seemingly never got across the simple fact that Hawaii generally doesn't release long form BCs. They finally made an exception because of all the interest in this.

    I’m really, really sure...you’re a douche. All offense intended, Donald, I do not bow down to your Real Estate dollars, or your desire to run America like one of your businesses. America is not a business. The people aren’t your employees, nor would they be if you were living in the White House–you’d work for us. If there are “more important” issues to focus on, as you have stated, then why spend so much time on something so frivolous? Case in point: You’re more interested in the things that are less important–that’s why.

    If you’ve got solutions to problems, why not present them as a patriot? Because you want the proverbial pat on the back. The glory. Get over yourself, bro.

    I don't want to come off as being Mr. Know-it-all, but both the left and right skew the facts to support their cause.

    He was born on American soil, his mother is American, but his father is not. And while most people say Obama is American enough, these "Birthers" or racists believe otherwise, Donald Trump being one of them.

    The basis of the conflict started with “Is he born here?” Which was answered with a resounding YES. But then it became about whether or not he is a “Natural Born Citizen” because you MUST be a Natural Born Citizen in order to become President of the United States.

    Unfortunately for Americans, their constitution does not give a specific definition of what exactly a Natural Born Citizen is, so the U.S. adopted the law of England which basically states that to be a "Natural Born Citizen" not only do you have to be born on the land in question, but your parents should hold no allegiance to any other nation (meaning that they have to be citizens as well). But the law of England also does not state whether it requires both parents, or just one of your parents to be citizens.

    And while it is in fact a bit presumptuous to assume that race is the driving force behind these “Birthers”, I think we know enough about American history to make that assumption.

    Either way. The U.S. is still pretty fucked.

    It's actually pretty shut and dry....14th Amendment says any child born in the U.S. is a natural born citizen.

    No idea why you would claim "both the left and the right skew the facts." There was never a controversy to begin with, aside from a small group of people, who like you said are probably motivated by racism, spreading conspiracy theories.
