custom qr code

  anyone know how to generate a custom qr code like bottom corner in this image?

  i understand that only certain areas contain the important data, but this can't possibly be a modified code from a generator... pretty much the whole thing is their logo.

  I've seen highly customized qr codes. You can customize manually and test with a scanner app.

  I did some minor customization to one of mine awhile back and it works fine.

  anyone with thoughts/experience with Microsoft Tags? This is the first I've heard of them.

  QR codes are obviously more common so far. Will it become a popularity battle? Are there other formats out there? Do some readers handle multiple code formats?

  just used them a bunch. we had to use mobitags (microsofttag) because microsoft is our company preferred vendor. Easy to set up and use. The reader is pretty slick too. Decent metrics and all that as well. Looks like they are fairly customize-able as well. I have seen them used a fair bit lately
