We've all seen the photos of the destruction.
What about the photos of the rebuild work.Saw this on The Sun's website.
Yeah I know the paper is crap but thought the story was quite amazing.

look at the tree growth. Can't believe they would fake a story like this.
- Check out the 'foliage' on the far right side and compare the before and after pictures********
- they didn't, you moron.Fax_Benson
- Looks like they had to cut down some trees to reinforce the bank. look close mr viking.Amicus

^ the foliage was removed so they could fill the cracks on the right with what appears to be fresh dirt and a runoff mat. the pine trees on the right side background are the same, and the third set of limbs, left side has just slightly less leaves than the before pic, which would be natural.

I was in Tokyo a frew years ago, and in the 10 days I was there, a 10 storey building went up at the end of my friend's street. Literally from a hole in the ground. I don't think it was the world's most sophisticated structure, but it was crazy to watch.
Sadly, the Japanese are pretty skilled at rebuilding entire towns and cities, for whatever reason.
- what?! You're exaggerating right?randommail
- it wasn't finished, and I don't know what it was, but it went up by about a storey each dayFax_Benson

Whether this pic is real or not :
In 1960, the Japanese wanted to be #1 in electronics manufacturing; by 1970, they were.
In 1970, they wanted to be the #1 steel producer in the world, despite the fact that all materials had to be imported; by 1980, they were #1.
In 1980, they decided they wanted to be the top auto producer in the world in ten years. They didn't make it. It took them eleven years.
Besides, they produced Akira Kurosawa...
Don't underestimate the Japanese, bro!
