I adopted my Belgian Malinois' mother a few weeks ago after receiving a call that she was about to be euthanized (for absolutely no reason) I had to keep her exercise limited because she had just been spayed but she definitely remembers him. When I finally got the two of them together yesterday she made all kinds of excited noises and they wont stop grooming each other. And while her job of producing puppies for the military is over I think spending the rest of her days being loved on by her son and his handler was a far better fate.

- @garbage Same here. Nope. Not thinking this is the sweetest thing ever, and definitely not getting a bit emotional over it. Not me.

I miss my little dog Grover. Had him for twelve years. Passed in December. Sometimes when I’m driving I think about him looking out the back window on his hind legs, looking like a kid in a onesie, and I tear up. I think my heart will always be broken.

Kushi, the little hose-beast from earlier in the thread, is now three.
According to the vet, she's ridiculously fit. She hates the vet so her heart rate that day was particularly impressive.
At the pub recently, a very keen dude in a flannel shirt studied her and concluded she was "a slight bitch," confirming what they say about dogs and their owners.
