My wise friends of QBN your opinions are needed.
Some of you may have seen about a year ago I took an inhouse corporate position over an agency opportunity after 5 years of the agency grind. It's been an interesting year and I am ready to move on. So do I give notice so I can have my full time available to go after the jobs I really want? Or, do I stay put and use every available minute outside of work on the job search? Pros Cons from different perspectives would be f'ing rad ; )

second option, duh. it's what everyone else does. first option opens you to a world of hurt if you can't find a job right away.

try to find another job first! then when you get the other one make sure that you get like two weeks in between

I see you're in the US, which means your economy is still in the shitter. So yes, you should definitely quit your steady job and gamble your savings and career without having something lined up first.

look for a job while employed. Not only safe, but as an employer, I'd rather see someone has a job and is looking over "no job" and looking... because with no job, I'd wonder... was he fired? Managed out?
