Can you guys give me any feedback you may have on my folio? I want to start approaching new people this week and need to be sure I don't look like a twat in any way :)
I am in the process of writing case studies for the pieces but am interested in how they come across – are they too much? Is my about me completely boring? What sort of work does it look like I'd do best with these pieces shown?

I like the site, its simple navigation and big pictures. I appreciate the way you integrated your copy into your work. You give me the option to read or move on, and you only included it when necessary. There's an opportunity to add some color/style into your type (maybe pink for the sections, i.e. "Challenge" and "Solution). Your work seems pretty solid and you seem competent to talk about it. Good luck.

drop the heart. If you're 11 yr old girl its ok. but it not, it's got to go.
Is the clear channel stuff real? Concept seems weak to me.
- It is real, yes._salisae_
- Thx for your input on the heart. I need to take the time to actually develop a logo for myself._salisae_

Missing an image on the "Hookeez" page. Overall the site simple clean, I like your portfolio work, congrats!
BTW: I wish there was a hot profile photo of you on your bio.

why the splash page?
i would give some thought as to how you present each project. it's not consistent and it leaves me wondering what you actually did on each.
lead me through each one, for example, show me the logo first, then some small collateral you made. then bring in the website. i've seen those apple store style website mockups a million times, maybe give some thought into how to show it in a way that's more unique and less generic?
my 2¢

an option...
resume download on the "about me" section.

I couldn't post this direct to cag0collective as I normally do. Why is the laptop image so bad? Is it really that distracting?

I've removed the clear campaign and added a times square campaign I worked on last year.
Any other feedback? Still curious about the macbook pro image – I think it brings the site to life with the 3d image behind it. Is there a truly good reason not to use it? Other than just personal preference?

Not seeing the point of a landing/splash page at all. If you want contact info to stand out, make it bright red in your nav or something.
If you're going to use the Mac's in your portfolio, at least edit out the words "MACBOOK PRO" because that's the first thing most people will look at when a project loads—it's the most familiar to them, so their eyes will likely go right to that.
On web work, crop out the right scrollbar area. It's a harsh break vs. the white space, and has no place in a portfolio.
Fan of the Print Oasis piece, but it is drowning in way way too much copy. As much as you want potential clients/employers to learn about the project, no one will ever read that much copy. Then you have the Herbalife project which is kind of cool, but has zero explanation copy, and the video took forever to load. For Hem Gems, there is no difference in the 1st and 2nd image, so you are essentially repeating the same image twice. Would like to see more images of the Kaia Foods project.
Just my two cents. Good stuff all around, I looked through it all.

i like that you highlight which image you're on in the nav. so many car-go sites are jarring b/c they don't do this sort of thing. just throwing this out there, but in about me you have "2010 AIGA Top book design award," but then i don't see a book in your portfolio. Not a big deal, of course, but was a little odd to me.
keep it up!

that splash page needs to fuck right off
As I said before – I couldn't post within QBN directly to carg0collective so the splash page was an entry point. when i send this to people I obviously send them directly to the folio site.
2010 AIGA Top book design award
These books were made for a very private family and the agency I built them for asked me not to post any photos of it as they thought it might risk them losing the client. But they then went and entered them into the AIGA competition – so now I am not sure what to do about them.thanks for the typo catch! i'll fix it now.

Nice job!
- Although if you want, you can redirect your domain to the CC website.abettertomorrow
- Thx ABT! I am considering the redirect. I wanted to try it out for and make sure it was what I really wanted ;)_salisae_
- Totally - not a big deal, just if you wanted to send the sharieaton.com URL to people.abettertomorrow

splash page definitely not needed
