A discussion comparing/contrasting the two brands. Kind of as a branding exercise.
Was pondering brands and business models and these two popped in my head. What they accomplish is staggering.

All I know is the FedEx API is a PITA to work with! Good luck configuring thermal label printers.

It's like comparing two pieces of shit, or two US presidential candidates.

From an International standpoint, while FedEx's border/custom brokering fees will rape you, UPS's will do it violently and with a knife to your throat.
When ordering from the US, I use USPS as much as possible. Its not THAT slow and often there is no border charge or just a flat $5.
UPS on the other hand, always has a C.O.D. fee for brokering that usually ( and magically) equals about a third of the posted item value. Funny that.

FedEx = safest and fastest way to ship something. 99% chance it will arrive in good condition.
UPS = best way to ship large heavy boxes. 85% chance it will arrive in good condition.
USPS = cheapest way to ship anything by far. 60-75% chance it will arrive in good condition. Also 60-75% chance it will arrive at all.
