Fun fact: Bob Haro opened a design studio here in San Diego. I interviewed with him about 10 years ago. I was still pretty green though and didn't get the job.

this is really close to my first bmx. for some reason i thought mine had white pads, but they could have been this color blue. first thing i did was take off all of the pads.
next bike was a haro group 1b. this is almost my bike but mine was chrome and black, not purple. first thing i did was remove all the gaudy haro stickers (just like this guy did) . my tires and grips were black. i loved that bike. fuckin neighbor ran over it with his truck and bent the shit out of the whole front end.
i jumped the shit out of the both of them. still have scars on my left elbow, left hand and upper back from a really bad crash trying to clear a paved double driveway. didn't quite make it.

There was on inbetween the budgie and the burner that was yellow and had some wierd radio/alerts sounds type panel - a bit like the wild cat but less K.I.T.T like! so would love to remember that...

This is what I had. I think it came with white wall tires believe it or not.
Some of the best times I had with this was jumping ramps. We stole planks of wood from my next door neighbor, built the ramp and would jump over garbage cans. 6.5 was the record. I never wiped out on it. I handed it down to my brother when I got a 10-speed. He didn't lock it up one day and it got stolen.

- Mainly loved to ride it for classic 80s gimmick which was the siren sound system on the handle bars.Sandman_1982
