On first listen: underwhelmed.
Some really inspired turns, but some tracks are demos at best and go nowhere.
Pharrell is totally unnecessary throughout.
I get what they're trying to do with the downbeat disco as a counterpoint to EDM, but I'm not taken. A little too porny.
Maybe it's a grower.

If the marketing hype videos were to be believed, this album was going to change everything. After listening to the album though I think that we may have all fallen foul to marketing.
Pretty underwhelmed by the album too.
Some nice synth sounds here and there. A bit too much vocoder (even though this is what DP are famous for in their vocals i guess). The closing song "Contact" is great though.
Not much to dance to.

I just came from skating, it's 5am here...
First time in three years.I took the opportunity to paint the ramp.
Didn't consciously listen to any of the new tracks so far.
End of BUMP

What I find funny is...huge, expensive marketing build up for months. Then two weeks before the actual release everyone gets the album for free.
- that's why pre-orders are important and marketing did pay off there. also a leak 2 weeks prior to the release isn't that bad considering the attentionspl33nidoru
- that bad considering the interest.spl33nidoru
- They psyched up a bunch of people to download the album for free:)ukit2

Everyone moaned about Discovery when that came out but is a great album.

What's the song towards the end with some nice pedal steel guitar parts? Maybe second to last song. IMO that's my favorite song so far and it's the one that best feels like a distinct reworking of disco in their own way. Really nice groove and melody.
