i was having a conversation with an old successful business tycoon not long back, real weird eccentric guy, and he said the best advice he could give a young person is to apply for dual citizenship to any other country. so if shit ever goes down in the ol' USA during your lifetime or your kids lifetime, you have a place to go that isn't going to slam the door in your face.

Do you know something that we don't know...should I pack my shit?

- Read a couple of these reports for a perspective on energy and why that's important -
United States Joint Forces Command - Joint operating Environment report 2010.
Lloyds 360 Risk Assessment on Sustainable energy security.
World Energy Outlook 2010.
Google them, they will pop right up.
Oil is going to see some fantastic price spikes thanks to shrinking excess capacity and speculations. Buying gasoline in 5-6 years will be very interesting, and after that it'll get worse. Look around at all those people married to their SUVs, do you think they have a clue ?kali1900

When I was born my grandparents gave me a krugerrand, which is basically a gold coin that looks like this:
I'm saving it for this very occasion when the US explodes and all my money is worthless. I figure that coin is going to pay my way onto a boat to somewhere, or at least save my throat from being slit by pirates.
