Anyone got some examples of good creative briefs they've received from clients?
Trying to educate my client base so I don't tear my hair out whenever I get an open brief and I don't deliver exactly what they want.
Feel free to remove any identifying names etc.
- it's pretty uncommon, usually best to create one on your end based on the initial discussion and have them sign it off or ammendneue75_bold

clients are not suppose to write the brief.
they should had give you the answers needed so you can write the brief.

With my freelance clients I tend to have the meeting, write the brief and get them to approve it.
However my some bosses think giving you the text and saying you did this last year but we need something new and fresh this time is a good enough brief. (Every second job from that client has been something totally new and fresh meaning about 20 completely new concepts in the last 6 weeks – talk about a fractured brand.)When strategy and concept are thrown out the window I tend to be less creative. I find the briefing process so informative and inspiring normally, that working without one tends to dampen the spirits, especially this time of year when we all desperately need a holiday. :)

here's ours.....
This brief is to ensure the best possible solution for business and also a smooth and efficient design process. Good communication makes the complicated simple and the simple interesting.
